3rd Annual UNCG Toys for Joy

I have had the pleasure of working with the special events team at UNCG for many years on their most important events and campus functions. Last week I captured the 3rd Annual Toys for Joy donation event. Even with the current pandemic we made it work and had an outdoor drive through donation drive at the Alumni House and it was a huge success.

The event took place from 5-7pm last Tuesday on a chilly December evening. A hand full of faculty, staff, board of trustees, Chancellor Gilliam and his wife were in attendance and assisted with the logistics of the toy drive. The collection process from the many cars that came through that evening went very smoothly and everyone kept their social distance. The event was able to collect over 500 toys for less fortunate kids and families here in the Triad.

It was great to work with these caring and hardworking folks within the UNCG community that evening and many smiles and good vibes were experienced. I was able to edit and send the images back over the to special events team the very next day so they could share an update with the University and other media outlets here in Greensboro.
