Country music legend Emmylou Harris visits UNC Greensboro

Emmylou Harris performed at the UNCG Auditorium last month and I had the privilege of photographing this special event for the University. "Emmylou Harris is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. She has released dozens of albums and singles over the course of her career and won 14 Grammys, the Polar Music Prize, and numerous other honors, including induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame."-Wikipedia.

Special event photography has become a big part of my business over the last few years. It has been cool meeting a lot of world famous artists through the UNCG Concert Series. I now have some larger telephoto lenses which allow me to get closer to the stage action but not be in the way. Before the evening performance Emmylou visited with some of the Univ Board and other VIP's for a meet and greet and also had a chance to check out some archival pieces from the 60's when she attended UNCG.

The evening performance was played to a sold out crowd of fans of all ages. They played for two hours straight and two encore numbers. The band consisted of Emmylou on guitar, lead guitarist, bass player, fiddle player, drummer and keyboard/accordion player. Check out the special event photography images below.
